Y/N Pov.
In the morning, we all woke up and got ready for the day. After we do, Clem, AJ, and I go up the stairs in the admin building. AJ looks at us as he normally would, asking about Marlon and if he is going to let us stay at the school. He's been worried about that all morning and I can see why. With me, I've got my baseball bat as well just in case we're asked to do something today or what have you.
AJ: He's gonna let us stay, right?
Y/n: We'll see.
Clementine: Let's find his office.
AJ: I know where it is. I'll show you.
Looking around the school, the walls and everything else could use some work. The wood is probably water damaged to hell. Soon, we reach the top of the stairs and AJ runs ahead of us.
AJ: Up here! C'mon. This way.
Y/n: Hey! AJ! Wait up!
Clem and I catch up to AJ; we enter Marlon's office and find Tenn is playing with toys. I'm not sure what they are, but they look like little figurines or some shit. I wish we could've had some better toys for AJ when he was younger.
AJ: Tenn's here.
Tenn looks at us.
Tenn: Hey, guys. Thanks for the pencils. I missed having colors.
Y/n: No problem, Tenn.
Clementine: Yeah. It was your sister's after all.
AJ look down by Tenn's hands and I think he notices the toys.
AJ: Who are these guys?
Tenn: They're firefighters. That one's a policeman. She's gonna save the day.
AJ: But what are they?
Tenn stops playing and looks at AJ, handing him a toy firefighter.
Tenn: They... these were the people who protected us.
AJ: Where are they? I've never seen one before.
Clementine pats his head.
Clementine: They're still out there. Someday, maybe you'll meet one.
AJ: That would be cool.
Tenn: Super cool. Now give it to me and...
Tenn reaches for the toy, and AJ pulls it away.
AJ: No. He's mine now.
Tenn: Hey, give it back...
AJ: No.
Tenn: You don't even know what they are!
Clementine: Okay, okay. That's enough, you two.
I take the toy, but AJ is still pissed about it.
AJ: It's not yours anymore. Y/n, please?
I shake my head and flick the top of his. Not hard, obviously, but just enough to get his attention fully.
Y/n: I've said before and I'll say it again, don't be an asshole.
AJ: But it's mine.
Y/n: This toy isn't yours, it belongs to Tenn.
AJ crosses his arms.
AJ: Ugh, fine.
I toss the toy back to Tenn.
Tenn: Thanks.
Clementine looks toward Tenn and asks about Marlon since we've yet to see him today.
Clementine: Do you know where Marlon is?
