Season 2/Chapter 22: Reunited

3rd Pov.

Carver's voice continues to be heard over the PA system as everyone goes inside the Yard where they'll be staying while they're there. At least for now. Troy and Bonnie take the ropes off of the other's wrists.

Troy: Y'all best get some rest, 'cause there ain't gonna be much for you tomorrow. You're gonna be working hard.

Bonnie looks at Rebecca.

Bonnie: That's for you.

Rebecca looks at a cot in the corner and crosses her arms.

Rebecca: Yeah, it would be. Fucking Bill. Keeps me out in the cold, but at least I'll be comfortable.

Y/n stands by Clementine as they inspect the place, seeing a few people toward the back. But due to the darkness being lit up by just a small fire, they can barely make out any faces of the people whose faces are hidden by the shadows. Their backs are turned as they avoid looking near the new people because they didn't want to be disturbed.

Y/n: What do you think of this place?

Clementine: It's well supplied. That's good.

Y/n: (Nods) Makes sense. It was a grocery store or something.

Clementine: At least we're relatively safe...for now.

Suddenly, as they're talking, a man of indian descent walks up to the group and speaks to them. He's quickly recognized by a few of the returning members as soon as he's seen by them.

Reggie: Hey, guys.

Rebecca gasps as she sees Reggie and the fact that he's missing an arm.

Rebecca: Reggie?

She quickly goes over and hugs him as Nick and Alvin join her. Meanwhile, Y/n and Clementine stand by Sarah away from the group along with Kenny & Sarita. Nick looks at Reggie's arm and feels guilty for what happened, but Reggie tells him it's okay and that it had happened after the group had all left. While they keep on talking, Sarah looks at Y/n and Clementine.

Sarah: Reggie helped us. When we ran away.

Clementine: Why didn't he go with you guys... when you left?

Sarah: I think maybe he was supposed to... But then he fell... and everybody kept running. I know he had both his arms then.

Y/n: From the sound of it, him losing arm happened after you all left. So at least that doesn't have to worry about that on your conscious.

The three overhear Reggie as he explains what happens.

Reggie: They got me working outside. Lurker snuck up on me while I was hammering something. Luckily, they took the arm off quick. Saved my life.

Rebecca: That's awful... I'm so sorry.

Reggie: Look, it was my choice to help you guys.

Y/n looks at Sarah and Clem.

Y/n: See? Happened well after everything went down. Nothing to be sad about.

Clementine: Well I wouldn't exactly say nothing... I mean, losing an arm must suck.

Y/n: Yeah, I'd imagine.

Near the gate/door of the Yard, Madison walks over with a rifle in hand and everyone near it looks at her. She glances over at Y/n, and Clem's eyes widen as she steps in front of him but Madison rolls her eyes and turns to Alvin.

Madison: Yo, Alvin. Come on, you know who wants you in his office.

Alvin: What? Why?

Madison: (Sigh) Come on, dude. Don't make this difficult, it's way too late for that.
