Percy swung his trident first, the weight of it foreign in his hands. Across them, Vormver gave a snarl of rage, his handsome face warping into a sneer.

This time, the demon prince didn't bother with fair sword fighting. His injured arm was wrapped in obsidian darkness and when Percy got close enough, Vormver sent the blast towards him. Percy ducked in time, narrowly dodging the fatal blow.

"Are your powers back?" Naguel shouted at Percy, slashing his sword while Vormver intercepted it.

Percy mentally reached inside of him and felt a small tug yet still too small to matter. Maybe after days, his powers would be restored to its full glory, but he didn't have days.

"No," he answered, dodging another blast. "Not enough to do damage at least," he added and hissed when the blast seared his cheek this time. Who knew darkness was hot?

"I will kill you!" Vormver cried, rage flaring in his eyes.

"How many times has he said it?" Naguel asked.

"Too many," Percy answered. "Doesn't really matter, he needs me alive."

The demon prince sent another bolt of darkness towards him in answer. Percy thrust the trident in front of him by instinct as if it were a shield. It absorbed most of the impact but Percy was still thrown back.

"Don't act so smug yet," Vormver hissed.

Naguel lunged and the both of them resumed their dueling but Vormver was slowly backing away, a strange smile appearing on his face.

Something was wrong.

Percy quickly got back on his feet, the trident now warm in his hand after absorbing the blast and saving his life. He raced after Naguel and Vormver who had backed so far away they weren't near the battlefield anymore.

Instead, they were at a cave.

Percy realized Vormver's plan a second too late. The demon prince bolted and dove into the dark cave. The cave that held so many creatures that were capable of destruction and death.

Naguel's cave.

Percy had ordered Kay to set Keelie and Gary free and had no doubt there were now in the battle, fighting for Atlantis. But the rest of the creatures down there were bad news.

"He's after the sea demon hybrid," Percy yelled at Naguel who raced after Vormver, Percy a step behind.

This was bad. This was very bad. Percy vaguely remembered how the hybrid almost killed him by sucking out his life, his powers. If Vormver unleashed it...

They entered the cave. It was deadly silent, and the only thing he could hear was his own thundering heartbeat. Beside him, Naguel was looking around frantically, listening closely for any sound of Vormver.

A soft laugh had them whirling around to face the demon prince. He was standing next to the hybrid's cage. The hybrid's eye staring deep into Percy, as if it could detect his soul.

"Don't," Naguel snarled at Vormver.

Vormver only laughed once and with a flick of his wrist, the lock snapped and the door burst open. The hybrid swam out lazily, darkness leaking from its skin. Percy shuddered at the sight of it, he had no desire to feel the way the darkness curled around him again.

"My brother created this," Vormver said. "Isn't it one of the most amazing creatures you've ever seen?" he asked, caressing the hybrid. "There are only five like this in the world." He looked at Percy. "Remember this? I command these creatures and I summoned them to your room that day, to give you a little fright. Did you enjoy it?"
