Spring break has officially started , it was two weeks long , and like every year , my father and i would always go hunting in the woods

Even tho i hate hunting cause i think it's cruel

But this time it was different , i asked Chase to come with us , to keep me company, but it wasn't easy to convince either of them

My dad gave me several conditions so he could agree on Chase coming with us , like no touching , no talking , and no kissing and i simply agreed

As if i could refuse them anyway

Right now , my dad and i were packing our bags and stuff , Chase called saying he was outside , we headed out and we saw him leaning on his big Jeep , a perfect car for this kind of trips , my dad's truck would break sometimes in the middle of the road

Chase helped us get the bags in his trunk and dad rushed over to the front seat , typical Carl pierce

" hey there " i said to Chase with a smile , " heey" he replied as he leaned to kiss me , I quickly turned my head and his lips made contact with my cheek ; " dad's here " I whispered and he chuckled

I got into the car and Miles was also there , he jumped into me as I welcomed him with a hug ;
" you brought Miles !" I said with a happy tone

The ride was silent as Miles was laying on my lap and i fell asleep with my AirPods in my ears listening to calm music

I woke up at the voice of Chase calling my name , we had arrived at our destination , i got out of the car and my dad was holding our bags and heading to the woods , Chase helped with the rest and i held nothing

But I helped putting up our tents , after that they both grabbed their shotguns and walked away , i was left with preparing the grill to cook lunch and dinner

I stood with Eda's father as i watched him loading his gun , i swear i could see one of my own men holding the weapon , i know a lot of regular men practice the hobby of hunting but he was too good

" did you ever go for a hunt before ?" He suddenly asked ; " once or twice " I replied ;
" you're not afraid of guns are you ?" He said , giving me a glance before pointing his gun at a tree

If only he knew what i do for life

" everyone's afraid of guns , mr . Pierce " i asked , trying to sound like a normal man living a normal life , he suddenly shot at the tree , the sound echoing in the air ; " you're right " he said

" may i ask how did you learn to use a gun so good ?" I asked , trying to bring up a subject , he looked down at his pistol ; " I've been holding guns my entire life " he said

Isn't he a bank accountant ?

" what do you mean ? " i asked , looking at him with confusion ; he stared back with nervousness, like he said something he wasn't supposed to

suddenly, Eda's voice called for us , drawing our attention to her ; " did you get anything ?" She yelled ; " not yet sweetheart !" Her father replied

" focus , Chase , before it gets dark " he glared at me before lifting his pistol to the sky and walked away , i let it go and held my own shotgun
