Derek's POV
We reached school and parked my car. Me and Beth got out and walked in.
"Derek I need to go talk to my teacher I will see You by your locker" she said. I nodded and pecked her lips.
I walked to my locker.
Zach was there.
"Hey man!" I said and did a hand sake hug.
"Wassup bro?" He asked
"Nothing you??"I asked
"Same"he said.
We talked for few mins.
"Yo bro did you do the bet of Beth yet?" He asked.
"Yeah she's my girlfriend now. Pass me my 2000 dollars" I said.
Ok you guys are confused. Basically me and zach made a bet that I can't make Beth ,my girlfriend and make her fall for me. So she did but who knew I will fall aswell.
Flashback.
Me and Beth just finished making our dinner ( lasagna). I'm going to wake up zach.
I opened the door and there was zach sleeping like a pig. I got a pillow and start hitting him with it. He fell on the floor.
"Seriously you dickhead" zach shouted.
"Shut up why shout, Beth is gonna heAr you" I said.
"Aww you care about Beth a lot" he said
"Whatever" I said
"Wanna bet something?" He asked
"Sure" I said and sat on the bed
"If you make Beth your girlfriend and make her fall for you in 3 weeks, you get 2000 dollars by me" he said.
"Ha you gonna lose" I said laughing
"Will see" he sad and stood up
"Come on dinners ready" I said and pulled him out. We walked downstairs.
Flashback over
"So you made Beth fall for you?" He asked.
"Yeah man she's my girlfriend. " I said and put my hand out.
"God looks like the bet finished quicker" he said and took the money out.
That's when I heard something.
"W-what"
I turned around to see Beth with tears building up in her eyes.
"B-beth"
Beth's POV
I talked with my teacher and started to walk to Derek's locker.
I was so happy that finally I get someone to love me.
I was near Derek's locker when I heard about a bet?🤔 ????
"Yo bro did you do the bet of Beth yet?" Zach asked.
"Yeah she's my girlfriend now. Pass me my 2000 dollars" Derek said.

Tears were building up in my eyes willing to drop.
"W-what" I whispered.
Derek and zach both turned around to see me.
"B-Beth" Derek spoke up.
"I-I was j-just a b-bet" I sluttered
A tear dropped out my eyes. I turned around And ran out of school.
I could hear my name being called but I ignored it.
I forget to bring my car. Shit!
I ran to the Main Street and got in a taxi. I told a address near my house( I don't want anyone seeing my house).
I sat there watching out the window. Tears were flowing down my eyes.
"Ma'am are you alright?" The driver asked. I just nodded. After 5 min he dropped me. I paid him and walked to my house. I reached my house and entered the pin.
I made sure to lock the doors.
I steeped in the house and ran to my room. I sat there crying for as long as I can remember.
I can't believe I was just a bet. I was right, people always leave me in the end. I don't deserve happiness. I don't!
He played my feelings, but it's my fault I believed him after all he is a player. I ruined my life once again. I'm never going to let anyone in my life, now. I'm better alone. I hate Derek. My one and only love played me😭.
