Continued...... A pic of Matthews Wolf on the side

Matthew POV~

I couldn't help but emit a low growl directed at Mrs. D. Her relentless threats were pushing my patience to its limit. Deep within me, my wolf Jack was restlessly scratching at the surface, urging me to assert our dominance. He insisted, "She challenged us. We must show her who is superior." It took a considerable effort to suppress Jack's aggressive instincts. I was generally a laid-back individual, but when provoked, my temper could flare up rapidly.

Xavier, perceiving the tension in the room, took control of the situation. He directed Matthew with a hint of authority in his voice, saying, "Matt, why don't you go for a walk?" It was a subtle yet effective way of diffusing the escalating tension, giving me the space to regain my composure and preventing any unnecessary confrontation.

Xavier, being my best friend, understood the inner struggle I was facing in keeping my wolf in check. Acknowledging this, I abruptly stood up, causing the chair to screech against the marble floors, and left the dining room. I made my way to the woods near our pack house, a place of solitude and refuge. Once there, I swiftly shed my clothes, tying them to my ankles, and let my wolf take over.

My wolf shared the same blonde hue as my hair, albeit with a touch of grey. In my human form, I was a tall and well-built guy with shaggy blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. In my lupine form, I sprinted to my favorite spot—a serene clearing adorned with vibrant flowers and lush grass. I lowered myself onto my front paws, letting the tranquility of the natural surroundings wash over me, offering a respite from the inner turmoil.

Xavier Pov~

"Matt, why don't you go take a walk," I suggested, injecting a hint of authority into my voice. Matthew, sensing the need to de-escalate the situation, promptly rose from his seat and left the room.

Turning my attention to my mother, I observed my father trying to reason with her, attempting to remind her that she was no longer the Luna. I couldn't help but address the issue directly, my Alpha tone resonating in the room. "Mom, why do you always do that? Can't you see that using your authority to threaten someone won't work? Consider this a one-time warning; next time, I won't stop Matt from reacting. Do you understand me?" I asserted.

My mother appeared taken aback, shocked by my utilization of the Alpha tone on her. She bowed her head slightly and softly replied, "Yes." Chloe, always attuned to my emotions, placed her hand on mine, sending tingles up my arm. Her touch had a calming effect on me, eventually diffusing the tension.

With breakfast concluded, we all dispersed to our respective activities. Chloe headed to the kitchen to assist the staff with cleanup, while I made my way to my office. However, before I could fully focus on my work, I needed to have a conversation with Aria. Although I felt a pang of guilt for constantly subjecting her to protection, I knew deep down that her safety was paramount, even if it meant occasionally irritating her.

I made my way to the front yard, scanning for Aria. As I passed by various pack members, they greeted me with respectful nods and a chorus of "Morning, Alpha." I responded in kind with a polite "Morning" to each of them. It was a small gesture that fostered a sense of unity within our pack.

Finally, I spotted Aria and her friend Nicole by the fountain in the front yard. The two of them were practically inseparable, a bond that had only grown stronger over time.

Aria POV~

Nicole was in the midst of sharing details about a cute boy she had spotted when my brother approached us. His charming smile was hard to resist. "Hey, Nicole, do you mind if I steal my sister for a moment?" he asked with his usual charisma. True to her nature, Nicole couldn't resist a handsome face, so she readily agreed and walked away, leaving me alone with Mr. Alpha, whom I was still a bit upset with from our earlier exchange.
