chapter 66

Ok so this is going to be quite a sad chapter in a way so just a heads-up .

Emilia was terrified, he wasn't happy with her and the words he spoke scared her.
"I'll deal with you later"

It scared her. She wasn't clueless she knew how bad he most likely got.

It has been a few hours now and Emilia hadn't taken her eyes off the door.

She was suprised when there was a knock. She expected him to come barging in. Maybe it wasn't him?

Damon hadn't bothered speaking to his dad straight away, he had finished the washing up and then left to calm down. Unfortunately when he came back, Alesandro had gone to a meeting, the clients were in a different timezone so he had to do meetings in the evenings sometimes.

He decided he would just fill Alesandro in later and headed up to her room.

He knocked as always and waited for her to respond or open it.

"Emilia can I come in" he asked when there was no response.

Not long after she opened the door.

"May I come in" he asked.

She nodded.

"Okay" he followed her back into the room.

"What are you going to do to me" she whispered.

"You make it sound like I'm going to...." he paused when he realized.

"Emilia what do you think I'm going to do" he chose his words carefully.

"I don't know" she mumbled.

"What crossed your mind" he asked.

"You could be like Henry" she whispered so quiely that he only just picked it up.

"Then we have a problem" he sighed

"I'm sorry I didn't mean it, I'm sorry" she quickly said.

"No don't be sorry, I caused the problem. I thought you knew I would never lay a hand on you, Jesus all this time you have been thinking that haven't you. Ok we need to fix this now"  he was devestated hearing she thought he would hit her.

"Why do you want to fix it" she couldn't help ask.

"Because you think I'm about to beat you up or some shit like that" he exclaimed.

"But don't you want that " she whispered.

"Emilia why the fuck would I want that" he couldnt help the dark tone.

"Because you hate me"

Damons eyes widened at what she said. Did she really believe that? He looked at her closely and saw she really did believe that.

Emilia looked at him waiting for a response, hoping he would deny it. He didn't. She couldn't help cry, what she suspected, he just confirmed.

Seeing her cry snapped him out of his disbelief.

"Emilia I do not hate you, I never have hated you. I never will hate you. Just alot has been going on and that is no excuse for my behaviour because I should have realised how it was effecting you. Come here" he said. He felt like shit knowing he had done this to her.

She hesitantly walked a few steps closer to him. She half expected him to hit her but instead he pulled her into a hug.
"I'm so sorry Emilia" he said as he tightened the hug.

"You don't hate me then"

"No never. I could never hate you and from now on I'm going to tell you that every day until you believe me"
