As we gathered snacks in Grayson's kitchen, I took a moment to text my mom, letting her know where I was and when I'd be back home. Almost instantly, she replied with a thumbs-up emoji, putting my mind at ease.

Just then, Hazel bounded into the kitchen, her mother following behind with bags of groceries in hand.

"Hi Kiara," Grayson's mom greeted me warmly, her smile infectious.

"Hello," I replied cheerfully. Before I could say much else, Hazel launched herself at me, and I gladly scooped her up into my arms for a hug.

"Where's your dad?" Grayson's mom asked him, her attention shifting.

"Not sure he wasn't here when I got home," Grayson answered casually.

"Okay, I'm going to give him a call," she decided before stepping away.

I turned my attention back to Hazel, noticing her adorable hairstyle—a waterfall braid adorned with a pink ribbon tied into a small bow. "I love what you did with your hair," I complimented her.

"Thank you, Grayson helped pick it," Hazel replied, casting a fond look at her brother.

"Wow, Grayson, that's sweet," I remarked, giving him a smile filled with admiration.

"Right?" Hazel chimed in, clearly pleased with her brother's involvement.

Grayson's smile in response spoke volumes, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of affection for the bond between them.

Watching Kiara interact with Hazel warmed my heart. The connection between my girlfriend and my little sister was endearing, and I found myself smiling each time they were together.

Seeing how well Kiara got along with Hazel made me imagine a future where Kiara would be the mother of my children. I hoped that we would indeed reach that milestone together someday.

As they continued chatting and exchanging playful banter, I couldn't help but admire Kiara even more. She truly was everything to me—the girl I loved, envisioning a future with her and Hazel by my side.

"Hey mom, can we make a pizza?" Hazel asked eagerly when her mother returned to the kitchen.

"Yeah, sure, no problem. I'm heading out; your dad's gone to his parents dealing with a few issues. We'll be back in a few hours. If we aren't back before 7, please put Hazel to bed for me," Grayson's mom instructed him.

"I will," Grayson assured her, leaning in to kiss his mom's forehead as she hugged him. Then she turned to Hazel and bestowed a kiss on her forehead before coming over to me and doing the same.

I smiled warmly at their family interaction.

"If you somehow end up messing my kitchen up, you better clean it up," Grayson's mom playfully warned, pointing a finger at him.

"Got it," Grayson replied with a grin, and I couldn't help but smile at them. After bidding her goodbyes, Grayson's mom left, leaving the three of us alone in the kitchen

Laughter filled the room, echoing off the walls like music. My hair was tied back in a loose ponytail.

Then, I playfully dipped her finger in flour and planted a tiny dot on Hazel's nose.

I couldn't help but notice how the flour dusted her cheeks like delicate snowflakes

I couldn't help but notice how the flour dusted her cheeks like delicate snowflakes. Her smile illuminated the room, and I found myself lost in the moment, captivated by her presence.

As we both reached for the flour to dust the flour, our hands collided, sending a cloud of white powder billowing into the air. Kiara gasped in surprise, her face now adorned with a dusting of flour while I grinned mischievously, my eyes twinkling with mischief.

Lost in her enchanting gaze, I didn't see when she grabbed a handful of flour and tossed it at me. Her smile was contagious, and I couldn't help but reciprocate, grabbing a handful myself and playfully tossing it back at her.

She gasped playfully, and all I could do was smile back at her mischievously.

"What do you think, shoudl we get him back?" Kiara asked, turning to Hazel.

"Yes!" Hazel said in response, and she eagerly hopped off the table and sprang into action.

We chased Grayson all around the kitchen, flour flying as we playfully pursued him. Eventually, I managed to catch him, and Hazel seized the opportunity, tossing flour at his chest. Laughter bubbled out of me, and I threw my head back in mirth.

"Nice one!" I exclaimed, giving Hazel a high-five.

"You think you're gonna get out of this clean?" Grayson teased Hazel playfully.

In that moment, I scooped up Hazel into my arms, and we took off, racing around the downstairs of the house, Grayson hot on our heels.

He eventually caught up to us, playfully tossing a handful of flour at Hazel, causing another eruption of laughter. The warmth of the moment and the joy in Hazel's laughter made my heart swell with happiness.

Soon, we called a truce from our flour fight and got back to work, focusing on making the pizza. We spread pizza sauce over the dough and topped it with generous slices of pepperoni, the savory aroma filling the kitchen.

While the pizza baked in the oven, we turned our attention to cleaning up the mess we had made with flour. Hazel grabbed a damp cloth and started wiping down the countertops, her face scrunching up in concentration. I joined in, clearing away scattered flour and tidying up the kitchen.

Grayson was busy checking on the progress of the pizza in the oven, his eyes lighting up with satisfaction as he saw the golden crust beginning to form.

With teamwork and laughter, we quickly restored order to the kitchen, our earlier antics, and now a fond memory. Hazel's infectious energy and Grayson's playful spirit made the task enjoyable, turning a simple evening into a cherished moment of togetherness.

As we waited for the pizza to finish baking, the kitchen buzzed with lively chatter and the comforting sounds of our shared laughter, creating an atmosphere of warmth warmth and joy.

After a fun evening making pizza and enjoying each other's company, Grayson and Hazel drove me home. We sang along to Disney music on the way, our voices blending in harmony as the familiar tunes filled the car with joy.

When we arrived at my house, Grayson and Hazel joined me inside to greet my parents. My mom and dad welcomed them warmly, delighted to see Hazel and happy to spend some time with Grayson.

After chatting for a bit, Grayson and Hazel said their goodbyes, and I walked them out to their car. As they drove away, I waved goodbye, feeling grateful for the wonderful time we had together.

Once inside, I headed up to my room, my heart full of happiness from the evening's adventures. I changed into comfortable pajamas and settled into bed, the memory of laughter and friendship lingering in my mind as I drifted off to sleep.
