"What do you mean she ran away ?!"

We were watching TV when I got a call from the hospital. I answered and now the doctor tries to justify himself about "Marie". Apparently, she ran away but it is impossible.

"I know this seems a bit complicated, James b-but-"

"She's on the second floor, her door was blocked when you tried to enter. I don't think she jumped out of the window."

"I mean it's the only solution if you ask me. Her room is empty and we are currently searching in the hospital. So-"

"Yes, I'll search for her."

I hang up and turn to see my friends, waiting at the window: they probably heard me scream. I enter the house and immediately they ask me what's happening. I sigh:

" 'Marie' ran away from the hospital. Her door was still blocked and the doctor called someone to break it so she probably left by the window."

" ... I'm impressed," says Rebecca.

"So am I, but I have to find her. You can stay-"

" We are coming with you."

I nod and we prepare ourselves. Once we are all ready, we get into our vehicles and survey the town. Max and Rebecca are around the hospital while we search near the school. I'm kind of scared of what we could find. "Marie" is new to this town, she doesn't like to go outside so she never visited it. She could get lost and- what if she has a bad encounter as she did in France? Think, James, think. Where could a girl like her go to escape the hospital? Anywhere. Anywhere far from the hospital and the people likely to bring her back. I park my car on the side of the road.

"Something happened, James?" Ask Lucie.

" It's just...It's useless, she knows if we find her we will bring her back to the hospital. It's not like we're going to find her on the side of the road waiting for us."

"Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, James. We don't know her enough to guess where she could be."

The car goes silent for a minute, everyone is thinking of a place she could be at. I should know that! Three months have past since we met and I feel like we're strangers.

"James, I have an idea," Silver says.

"I'm listening."

He points at a building outside of the car: the swimming pool.

" She probably heard the doctor telling you she will have to stop swimming for some days. If I was her, I would have gone swimming before we took this away from me."

He's right, but I don't have the key. And I don't think the door is open like last time.

"We don't need a key to enter, James. I'll lead the way."

"Are you sure?"

"I am, trust me."

We walk to the pool, and Lucie calls Rebecca to tell her where we are. Silver leads us behind the building and smiles. He points to a closed window. He jumps and grabs the edge. Without effort, he pushes the window and it falls inside.

"Come on," he says as he enters.

I do the short scale to help the other entries and I jump to enter. Silver helps me so I don't fall on the ground. I look at the window laying on the wooden floor of the office.
