the next day

"come on sweetheart you gotta get up" lizzie tries to convince me to get out of bed. it was already 1pm. i havent slept at all. just laying there starting at the wall. it was just one of those days. the days when i dont have the energy to do anything but my mind is still screaming at me to get up. i just cant. 

i roll over facing away from lizzie staring at the other wall now and facing away from the rest of the room. i hear her sigh and get up and leave the room. i feel like such a bitch. all these thoughts come back and i start crying again. 

i shouldnt have ignored her she was just trying to help. why am i like this. 

lizzies pov

i go back downstairs where everyone was and watch as everyones exited faces drop when y/n wasnt with me. "wheres my y/n/n" little rose asked tired and grumpy from the long plane ride. everyone else had already greeted the familys. 

"shes not feeling the best rosie" i said to the child before explaining more to scarlett who gave me a knowing look. 

"i can go up and get her?" dahlia suggested, figuring that would definetly be a surprise i let her go up telling the directions to the teens room. 

"your really worried about y/n arent you?" scar asksme concerned as well. 

dahlias pov

i follow the directions and find a room at the end of the hall, i open the door as quietly as i could hoping y/n was still facing away. quickly pressing the record button on my phone i put it in position. 

i hear y/n let out a shaky breath and i realise it sounds like shes crying. "im sorry liz-" she turns around and stops talking when she sees me. instantly shes out of her bed and in my arms. i , stumble catching her, but manage and settle with her legs around my waist and arms around my neck. she burried her head in my neck as we both squezed eachother too death.

"i cant believe your actually here" she whisperes pulling away and grabbing my face with her hands. 

"im here my love" i smile at her and she pulls my face closer. y/n looks into my eyes as if asking for permission to which i nod. she smiles before crashing her lips onto mine. 

"im so happy your here" she says leaning her forehead on mine. she unwraps her legs from my waist and winces once she stands up thats when i realise she still had an injured foot. and she just ran and jumped on it. 

i give her a sad smile before wrapping my arms around her waist and bringing her in for another much needed hug. "lets go downstaris and meet the others then your taking a nap, i know you havent been sleeping well my love. we can catch up after" she nods knowing she cant disagree. 

i give her a piggy back ride down stairs and when rose sees her her face lights up. y/n tells me to put her down on this couch so i do and sit next to her. she instantly holds my hand as she engages in the conversation with rose. 

lizzies pov

i knew seeing dahlia would lift y/ns spirits. she makes eye contact with me and mouths thank you with a massive smile.  i smile back at her before falling back into conversation with dahlias parents as i show them to the spare room. 

"yeah dahlias been begging to fly out to y/n as soon as she knew she was in hospital, i dont think we had seen her that worried since her cat ran away when the kids were little" dahlias mum explained.

"yeah same with y/n shes been feeling so guilty for being on call with dahlia at the time and with everything going on im just glad you guys could come out here it would do them both good" they agreed and we all went back downstairs. 

i see scarlett handing the girls 100 dollars then handing over her baby and leaving the house with colin. "whatcha doing" i asked coming closer to them and taking a seat on the couch. 

"scar paid us to watch the kids for an hour while they went out or something" y/n said playing with cosmo. 

"okay then, if you want a break just stick them infront of bluey and ill watch them" we laughed and started to watch friends on the big tv. 

rose got up and came over to me wanting her auntie cuddles. soon enough more people came from their rooms saying hello and either joining us watching the show or getting food and leaving again. 

i look over to my left and see y/n laying comfortably ontop of dahlia sleeping peacefully. 

y/n pov

i wake up from my much needed nap to find dahlia sleeping underneath me. everyone else seemed to have left the lounge room for some down time so i was relaxed. as if she knew i was a wake dahlia wakes up from her snooze and smiles down at me. 

"i really missed you" she said in a whisper not wanting to break the atmosphere 

"i missed you more dahls" she put her hands on either side of my face and gave me a quick kiss before pulling away. 

"not possible" she said almost silently. 

"oh my god get a room" hayden, her brother, says taking photos of us. i quickly put my head down hiding my face making the both of them laugh. 

"its nice to see you hayden, goodbye" i greet him which makes the teen laugh and leave heading back outside where the boys were playing pool. i look back at dahlia and she simply smiles at me. i feel at ease again. 

1 hour later. 

dahlia had gone for a shower and i was sitting in the kitchen talking with lizzie scar and dahlias mum anna. scar and anna were in a conversation about something so i took it as an opportunity to properly thank lizzie. 

"mum, i really wanted to thank you for surprising me. i needed her. but no more than i need you, i couldnt do this without you and im sorry for acting so cold lately. you didnt deserve it and i feel really bad about it" i expressed to her quietly. 

"oh bubba its no problem, everyone can tell you needed to see her im just glad i could make that happen and surprise you. i love you sweetheart, i can tell your going through some things and i want you to know you can still talk to me about it. anything thats concerning you or just on your mind y/n, im here for you" she comforts and tears fall from my eyes again. 

its something ive been doing alot recently and what can i say my lashes look immaculate "i love you so much lizzie" i whisper as she comes around to hug me. i could feel scar and annas eyes on me but i didnt care. i was content.
