Violet Hayes had lived in Mystic Falls for as long as she could remember. She'd lived in the same old apartment with her dad, gone to the same public schools as everyone else, and worked two jobs ever since she turned fifteen. Her life was by no means privileged, but at least it was within the realm of normal.
That is until a mysterious new student takes an interest in her best friend, Elena. Stefan Salvatore is an enigma. Violet is used to knowing everything about everyone in Mystic Falls, but she can't seem to figure him out. When Stefan takes a job at her father's mechanic shop, Violet soon finds that friendship with a Salvatore brother means a whole load of trouble.
