Percy walked down to the Hufflepuff common room dressed ready for the day's classes. He found the common room crowded with people all looking over the notice board.

"Hey Emma, what's going on?" Percy asked a third year Hufflepuff.

"They just put up a notice Percy, it seems Durmstrang and Beauxbatons are coming over tonight! Classes are going to end early so that we can all prepare!"

Percy blinked, "Wow, is it the end of October already?"

"Yep! I'm so excited! How do you think the foreign students are going to act? Will they even speak english?"

"Hmm, I'm not sure, maybe. If you want you can probably use a translation charm to learn the language."

"Huh, cool. Anyway, I have to go Percy, I have Snape first thing in the morning! And I forgot to do my homework!"

"What? Again? Fine, but remember to do it next time. Bye Emma," Percy waved her away as he made his way to the Great Hall for breakfast with his friends. Cedric, Michael, Gordon, Heather and Cheryl were waiting for him at the common room entrance as they joked about.

"Hey, guys!', Percy joined them as they made their way over to the Great Hall. It seemed that every one of his friends was excited for the arrival of the Drumstrang and Beauxbatons students, especially Gordon, who couldn't wait to meet the French girls. The group entered the Great Hall and as a force of habit, Percy's eyes found the points jars. Slytherin were in first place with Hufflepuff in a close second.

The seventh year Hufflepuffs took their seat at the edge near the Great Hall's great wooden doors and started piling their plates with bacon, eggs and toast. Percy took his usual seat beside Cedric and Heather and opposite to Gordon as he too filled his plate with the delicious food that the house elves had prepared.

"Percy, have you completed the Potions homework yet?", Heather asked as Gordon also decided to join their conversation, "Have you? I need it too, Snape has asked for it tomorrow, I'll have to stay up today to complete it."

Percy rolled his eyes at his lazy friend, "Yeah, you guys can take it. Just change a few things, okay?", the demigod handed over the parchment to his friends as they thanked him before returning back to their food. Percy too decided to focus on his breakfast, hearing bits and pieces of the conversation. Since the erection of the sign in the Common Rooms this morning, which Percy later learned had already been placed in the Entrance Hall a week ago, all everyone could talk about was about the Triwizard Tournament. Rumours were flying from student to student like highly contagious germs: who was going to try for Hogwarts champion, what the tournament would involve, how were the students from Drumstrang and Beauxbatons going to be different from those of Hogwarts. Cedric and Gordon had already planned to try out for the Triwizard tournament, and were asking if Percy was going to try too.

"I think I will, my aunt's already told me to participate or else she'll punish me.", Percy smiled as the others laughed, "Guess you're already decided.", Heather laughed. Just then the morning mail owls came down delivering their letters. Surprisingly a ministry owl swooped down and dropped a large file on his lap.

Percy looked up and waved, "Thank you!" the owl hooted once and flew away, not bothering to stop. It still had several letters and papers attached to it's leg, Percy guessed it was still on duty.

Percy took up the folder and looked it over. It was a document for his patent, he flipped over the papers and grinned, "Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Gordon and the others looked over surprised, "What happened Percy? You look like you just had sex with a veela."

"Oh please, I'll admit Percy is good looking but even he can't snag a veela!" Heather teased causing the others to laugh.

Percy rolled his eyes as his friends teasing as he opened the ministry package, he tore open the paper cover with unusual speed, unable to contain his excitement.
