Saturday , a busy day at home , the house was a mess , the kitchen was even worse , that day , we were expecting Chase's family to come over , he agreed to meet them at the airport since they didn't know where the house was

I was so stressed out , despite having Cassy by my side helping me , everything was too chaotic , maybe because I hadn't seen them in years , and we didn't end things well

The worst thing was to think about was their reaction about Melody , especially Chase's mother , Lillian , from what i had learned about her from my stay at their manner , was that she was a sensitive woman , easily affected and hurt

" you're okay there ?" Chase asked as he entered the kitchen , seeing how messed up i looked ; " y-yeah , everything's cool , I'm cooling , nothing to worry about , I'm cool " I stuttered and he chuckled ; " is it that bad ?" I asked and he smiled

" no , you'll do fine , you're Eda Pierce , remember , they didn't scare you before why scare you now ?" He said and my mouth curved into a little whiny smile ; " before I didn't have your child without your knowledge " i stated

" anyway their plane will arrive in thirty minutes , i hope that's enough time for you to calm down" he said and i nodded with a grimace ;
" hopefully" ; " hey where's Melody?" He asked and i told him she was upstairs with Cassy picking up an outfit

Ten minutes after Chase was gone , I quickly cleaned up the kitchen and applied a final swift cleaning on the house as Cassy helped me put the food on the dining table

After that i headed to my room and started to pick up what to wear , i chose black pants and a white top , too simple , as for my little girl , it looked like she and her aunt Cassy had picked the cherry blossom dress she bought for her last year

Time had passed as we sat waiting for Chase to come back , and when he did , a feeling like horror and paranoia had strike my heart , too nervous and I didn't know why , it was just Chase's family after all it wasn't like I hadn't lived with them for a while

" I'll open it!" Cassy  jumped out of the couch the second we heard the doorbell ringing , she stopped and turned to me ; " hey , pull your shit together okay ?" She told me and i nodded at her with a half smile ; " where's Melody ?" She asked as she looked around ; " probably upstairs , she'll be down when she hears the new voices " i told her before she walked to the door

I stayed in the living room waiting for them to come in , and they did , the first ones to show up were Valerie and Andrew , they didn't change at all , except for Valerie who had dyed her hair to dark blonde , this time with highlights

As for Andrew , his hair had grown longer , that was the only change i had noticed . The next person that appeared was Tyler , followed by his brother Theo , Tyler didn't change , as for Theo , i noticed that he raised a beard , he grinned when he saw me

And finally , Chase's mother joined them , Lillian , all i could say is that she gained more wrinkles on her face , other than that she was looking fine , she looked at me with serious eyes as her eyes wandered around the house ; " hey everyone " i spoke , i had to , i was the host after all , i took a glance at Chase from the back as he was giving me a reassurance expression on his face

" welcome " i added as i walked over to them , greeting every one of them ; " how have you been Eda ?" Valerie asked as we pulled away from a hug ; " perfect , you ?" I asked back ; " couldn't get anymore bored , thanks for inviting us " she answered
