If i said that i slept that night i would be lying , i spent it thinking about tomorrow 's date with Chase, to distract myself from negative thoughts , i picked what i would be wearing

But when i was done , i found myself thinking about him again , and about all the things that could happen

I cleared my thoughts and went to bed , i had to get myself together and not tremble in front of him

We saw each other in the meeting room once again , we acted normally and casually , we exchanged couple of words but that was it

The meeting was about starting a campaign where people who had ill children would come over so we could take care of them and do what was necessary

My job , along side Helena and Harold , was to meet the families and treat the children , since we were the doctors . As for Chase and Valerie , they were members in  the Regulatory Committee , they took care of organizing the campaign etc..

Have I mentioned that i reunited with Bobby as well ? It felt so good seeing him again , apart from Valerie , he was one of the few whom I wanted to talk to  , he didn't change though

After dividing the tasks , each of us went on his way , James told us we'd start working tomorrow morning , so it meant i had nothing to do but to wait for the night to come

Or more likely the date to come

When i looked up , Eda was already gone from the meeting room , damn she was fast , i wanted to assure her about the date for the night , hoping she wouldn't ditch me

I let it go and walked out myself

I shouldn't push her very much , I didn't want to make her run away from me . The hours of that day felt like days , i was patiently waiting for the 8 pm to come , that was when Eda and i agreed to pick her up

After having lunch in the hotel restaurant , i went to my chamber and picked up my clothes for the date , never in my life was i ever nervous about my outfit until that night

However , i chose what to wear peacefully

A brown shirt with short sleeves and pants in the color of beige

I sat in my chamber patiently waiting , since i had nothing else to do , i went down for a quick cup of coffee

As i was sitting and taking sips from my cup , my eyes spotted the little girl Melody entering the cafeteria holding in her hands a teddy bear

She looked very suspicious though , as if she was looking for someone , i was hoping she wouldn't see me cause i knew how much she would annoy me once again

Funny how i thought i was going to escape from her

She walked to me the second her eyes spotted me , with an evil smile on her face ; " hello boring ugly man" she spoke

I fake-smiled at her ; " hello Melody , what are you doing here ?" I asked ; " nothing , just wandering around " she answered; " are you allowed to do that ? " i asked her again

" of course " she shrugged her shoulders before jumping to take a seat next to me . She started talking randomly about multiple annoying children stuff , all what i did was ignoring her and drinking what was left of my coffee

Suddenly , i noticed her face softening when she spotted a man walking his daughter out of the cafeteria on his back ; " you miss your dad ? " i asked her
