Chapter 15: Jalter's resolve

"Ahahaha, poor you...crawling away like a slug."

"Jalter please... don't do this" 

Jalter grabs Y/n by the chin and rams him down.

"ugh- ouch"

She then pushes her bare feet in front of Y/n.

"lick it."

"huh-mmmff!"

Before Y/n could reply she shoves her whole feet down his throat.

As Y/n slowly lose his consciousness he hears one last sentence.

"I.....I tried really hard you know"

Y/n: ah!

I woke up, all sweaty from shoulder to waist and clasped my head in relief.

Y/n: another dream of Jalter again?

I shook my head in disbelief.

Y/n: but that kind of dream...I swear Ishtar's been getting involved too much lately.

Ishtar: what about me?

I slowly turned around In cold sweat to see Ishtar lying on her front with her legs up, staring deep into my eyes.

Y/n: h-how'd you get in here?

She chuckled and smirked in response, bringing her fingers to her lips.

Ishtar: that's a secret!

She got up, floating away.

Y/n: hey! w-wait!

She giggled again.

Ishtar: having dreams about your own servants? how deviant!

Before I caught up to her she was already gone from my view.

I stood dumbfounded outside my room, looking into the long empty hallway.

30 MINUTES LATER

Currently In the cafeteria I munch down my food pondering about what just what happend during morning.

Y/n: damn, that Ishtar...

Jalter: ah

I saw Jalter standing in front of me holding her food tray.

Immediately upon seeing her I remember the dream I had about her.

Maybe its a sign? 

Y/n: oh, hey Jalter. Care to join me for breakfast?

Jalter: w-well...

She looked down and blushed.

Jalter: if you say so...

She settled down on the seat directly Infront of me.

Y/n: well what brings you here today? surely you haven't just "accidentally" stumbled into me?.

Jalter: u-um well...I just wanted to see how you were doing. It's a servant job to check up on their master no?

Y/n: you got me there, yeah you're right.

I raised both my hand in remark of her rebuttal.

Jalter: well? what about you?

Y/n: what about me?

Jalter: don't mess with me, you look dreadfully tired today.

Y/n: oh do I?

She rolled her eyes and took a bite off her meal.

Jalter: you should look in the mirror more often.

I expressed a small smile and looked down on my plate.

Y/n: yea, maybe I should.

Jalter looked at me attentively, chewing her food.

Y/n: well, lets just say I've lately been experiencing very peculiar visions.

Jalter: Visions?

Y/n: or dreams.

I shrugged, whipping out my handkerchief.

Y/n: Listen Jeanne I-

I stopped, thinking about my words for a moment.

Why am I hesitant? 

Y/n: I...

Come on you know you want to say it.

Y/n: It's been a while since I said I wanted to learn more about you as a person.

Jalter blushed.

Jalter: y-yeah...

Y/n: and ever since then, we went on a date with Jeanne and everything else but after that.. well...nothing has happened much.

Jalter stayed quiet with thoughts roaming through her head.

Yeah, Jeanne kind of did third wheel our date, after that we didn't really have much alone time either.

Y/n: Jalter I'm going to say it once again. I'm interested in you. Would you want you spend time together anytime soon?

I shut my eyes, preparing for the worst.

A few seconds passed which felt like an eternity.

Jalter: I...

Her voice was meek and soft.

Jalter: w-well if you say so..

I looked up, mouth hanging.

She played with her fingers, cheeks burning up looking as if she was about to burst from embarrassment.

My expression went from anxious to joy in matter of seconds.

Y/n: well then.

I couldn't hold in my excitement.

Jalter: ?

I held out my hands, my face maintaining a wide grin.

Y/n: I'll be in your care!

Jalter paused for a moment then giggled at my action.

Jalter: I swear, the way you are...

She shook my hands firmly and smiled back.

Jalter: likewise, Y/n.

Under her soft breath, she whispered.

"I've been waiting for this."
