With around a month and a half to go, I decided it was probably time to decorate the nursery. Since we didn't know what the gender was, we wanted to decorate the baby's room with neutral colours.
All the furniture for the room arrived today so Dylan and I had to assemble them.
We had the room painted before so the walls were dry. We start off with the crib, we assemble the parts even tho I wasn't much help. I kind of felt like a whale at this point and couldn't even move well. I also was turning into a penguin and would basically paddle my way through.
After a long day, we finally finish the room and put the final accessory's up. I also packed my hospital bag as well and was all set in advance. We go down to the kitchen and I decide to make lemonade to refresh.
Dylan grabs a seat on the kitchen island and I sit on the other side.
"I like how the room turned out" I say while drinking my lemonade
"Well it was your amazing ideas so of course it would turn out good" he responds
"Do you have any baby names in mind yet?" He asks
"Well not really. I love the name Mackenzie if it was a girl" I say
"I like Mackenzie" he says
"And for a boy, do you have any names?" I ask
"What about Noah?" He suggests
"Noah. Awe I like that name. Noah" I keep on repeating
"So it's settled, Mackenzie for a girl and Noah for a boy" he says
"Perfect!" I respond throwing my arms around his neck and giving him a kiss on the lips
"Hmm you smell good" Dylan says with his nose in the crook of my neck
I let out a little laugh "I'm glad your enjoying my sweat smell"
"What sweat? I did all the hard work" he says
"Aw well I'm sorry I'm not much help. Your the one who got me pregnant" I say with a smirk
"Nuh-uh, don't blame it all on me woman. It's a 2 people job" he says innocently
My phone starts ringing and I get up to go answer it
I look at the caller ID and notice it's Lexi
"Hello" I say answering
"Hey babe how are you?" She asks
"Lexi! I miss you, how's Everything been?" I say
"All is good and I miss you too! Jimin and I are going to be near LA on Saturday and I was wondering if your free" She asks
Lexi and my mom both know what's happening and that Dylan and I moved in together and that we're engaged.
"Omg Saturday is perfect! My mom and Dylan's Mom are also coming over for a small BBQ so it would be perfect!" I say
"That's great! We can't wait to see you both" she says
"Ah me too!" I say
After a while of talking on the phone and catching up, we end the call. I go up to my room to take a bath and see the lights on in the office room. I'm guessing Dylan's doing some work
I walk in and see him on his computer with his glasses on. Yum he looked so good with his glasses on right now
"Liking the view?" He asks with a smirk
I stop bitting my lips and walk up to his desk
"No it's just my hormone levels are high at the moment" I say with a smirk
"Ah ok, blame it on our baby" he answers
I lean against his desk and he turns to face me
"Doing some work?" I ask
"Ya I'm just finalizing a few things before I hand it over to my mom" he says pushing his hair back
"Are you sure you want to do this?" I ask placing my hand on his shoulder
"I'm positive and besides, I need a long good vacation" he says with a smile
Dylan's been working from home ever since he moved to LA and his mom was more than happy to take over his position for now.
"Thank you" I say
"I'm gonna go take a bath and get ready for bed" I say
"Sounds great. I'll be done soon and join you in a bit" he says
I leave and go to our room. It had a big bed in the middle and a small seating space with a fireplace on the side. It was a white and grey colour scheme and 2 huge walk in closets. One for me and one for dylan.... we needed the closets...
I grab my towel and walk into the bathroom and get the bath ready. I decided to get into the bathtub and have a nice relaxing bath since it's been a long day and I was tired. I close my eyes and relax for a few minutes before I hear the door open and see Dylan walk in.
"May I join you?" He asks with a smirk
"Come on in" I say and he comes into the bath joining me
I lean on his chest with my back facing him. He wraps his arms around my belly and I take in the silence and peace. My stomach had gotten bigger and it was crazy to me what the female body can do!
"You look beautiful" he whispers
"Awe thanks for not calling me a whale" I say turning to face him
"Don't say that. You are a strong woman and will be an amazing mother" he says moving my hair out of my face
I put my arms over his neck sitting on his lap
"You will be an amazing father" I say giving him a kiss on the lips
