The wind rocked along the swing piercing through the air back and
forth. The setting sun, the winter evening and the growing silence we're all bringing the peace one reads about in books.

Her eyes fixated on the drowning sun that glowed like a flame of a dying candle. So striking yet so fierce. No crowd could look it in the eye till it shined bright throughout the day, they could only gaze at it's beauty when it's on tht verge of leaving them to the darkness. Wishing for the moment to last longer.

A lover's most cherished sight and a dying souls last breath, a reason to look forward to life, the sun had to leave to let the moon to take it's place. It's always there behind the blue of the day sky but time changes views of people and so does the beauty of these two stars.

The wind blew the few traitorous locks away from her face, her bun hanging low on her nape. A shawl wrapped around her frame. She enjoyed the descending sound of the bird's chirping.

They all flew to their homes after long hours if freedom. That's what we are. We live freely in this world but at tht end of time we all return to our homes, some empty handed while some loaded with the good they did in life.

She brought her legs up on the wooden board of the swing and swung her guitar up on her lap. A song she had heard echoed in her mind like a broken record. Her favourite artist and her favourite lyricist.

Her finger worked with tht strings and a smile came over her lips.

"You booked the night train for a reason
So you could sit there in this hurt
Bustling crowds or silent sleepers
You're not sure which is worse
Because I dropped your hand while dancing
Left you out there standing
Crestfallen on the landing
Champagne problems
Your mom's ring in your pocket
My picture in your wallet
Your heart was glass, I dropped it
Champagne problems"

She sang feeling giddy at the saddest of songs. She kept the swing rocking with one leg on the floor and enjoyed the time to herself.

"You told your family for a reason
You couldn't keep it in
Your sister splashed out on the bottle
Now no one's celebrating
Dom Pérignon, you brought it
No crowd of friends applauded
Your hometown skeptics called it
Champagne problems
You had a speech, you're speechless
Love slipped beyond your reaches
And I couldn't give a reason
Champagne problems"

She couldn't match her vocals but she gave her best. Forgetting her worries she let herself slip in a world where she was tht star and the loneliness was her audience.

"Your Midas touch on the Chevy door
November flush and your flannel cure
"This dorm was once a madhouse"
I made a joke, "Well, it's made for me"
How evergreen, our group of friends
Don't think we'll say that word again
And soon they'll have the nerve to deck the halls
That we once walked through
One for the money, two for the show
I never was ready, so I watch you go
Sometimes you just don't know the answer
'Til someone's on their knees and asks you"
