James' POV
My mother brought the food and placed it on the table while I held Grace close to me.
"She's fallen asleep?" She questioned.
"Yup. She must be really tired" I said and looked down at her.
My mother left and a few minutes later she snuggled into my neck. I had been there long enough to also fall asleep.
I woke up again to see Grace's brown eyes looking at me. I smiled and pulled her closer if that was possible. A small giggle left her as she sat up on my laps.
"Hello sunshine" I said rubbing my thumb against her cheeks.
"Hey. How long have I been out?" She asked.
"Do you mean how long you've been sleeping or how long you've been shifting?" I asked grinning.
"Sleeping" she slapped my shoulder playfully.
"I have no idea cause I fell asleep with you" I said looking down at her laps.
"My eyes are up here mister. I'm hungry" she said.
"I'll look at your eyes miss" I looked her directly in the eye.
"Stop" she blushed deeply before hiding her face on my chest.
I stood up carrying her to the kitchen.
"Put me down I can walk" she protested.
