Grace's POV
"You wouldn't think to invite your family?" My so called mother said.
"My family's already here" I responded calmly and my sister seemed to be looking anywhere but at me.
"Grace" my father's voice rang out almost hushed.
"Why bother showing up here? You didn't want me so why do you want to be at my ceremony" James' hand held onto my waist tightly.
"Grace that's not it" my father said.
"That's it" I said.
"I couldn't at least meet my son in law?" He asked.
"You've got one daughter named Grace and she has no mate" I stated clearly still remaining calm.
"This is the way she treated me when I first saw her" my mother said.
"Look, I'm not that little girl you fooled into thinking that everything is okay, I know now okay. You can't fool me, you can't manipulate me. I'm matured on my own to make my own decisions and do what's right for me and yes, I'm fully aware of my powers" I said again still calm.
"HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE US OF DOING SUCH A THING!?!" My father shouted catching the attention of everyone.
I released a loud breath and held onto James' hand to start walking away.
