"Don't trust him" Was what I kept repeating in my head, hoping he can somehow hear me and listen to me but of course that wasn't what happened.

Jaxon let go of Agosto's shirt, moving away from near him. Silence engulfed us as all he did was stood there, his eyes still paste to Agosto.

I guess he was thinking whether to trust him or not but he never once replied to Agosto and the only time he spoke was a couple of seconds later. "We're leaving" He broke the silence, saying to me and I nodded my head, quickly following after him as he takes long strides, exiting the room.

As we approached the door, Agosto's guards opened it for us and thankfully we left in peace...but it was worried.

It was late in the night, somewhere around 11'o' clock, when we were both walking to his car, about to leave. My mind was floating around with so much thought that really bothered me even though I tried to ignore them. But I couldn't and I really needed to hear his answers.

"Jaxon!" I grabbed him by his arm, stopping him. We were almost at his car when he came to a halt, turning to me. He raises an eyebrow as he waits for me to speak and I exhale, asking my questions.

"You're not gonna drive, right?" A confused look was suddenly replaced on his face and his eyebrows furrow and he opens his mouth to speak.

"Why can't I?"

I exhale at his question, looking his directly in his face as I answered. "Because you're hurt and it's so late in the night. It's...just not safe" I said in reply, pointing at his wound.

He averted his eyes from me, glancing at his wound, that was not bandaged, for a second before looking back up to me. "You have no need to worry. Trust me, I've driven bigger stuff that this before...while injured and they were worst than the once I have at the moment. So I got this."

Yes, he words we're assuring but I was still a little worried. I mean it's so late in the night, isn't he tired? And especially from just completing a mission...and getting shot as well? Isn't he tired?

"But...aren't you tired? You know...It was a very tiring mission..." I shifted my eyes to the ground as my voice trailed off.

He lets out a breath, and my words seem to make him happy, for some reason, since a smile was twitching on his lips. He stretches his hands toward me and gently grabs my chin lifting my head up so our eyes could meet.
