LJ has a severe case of nyctophobia, fear of the dark, so bad he sleeps with the lights on. When the lights turned off one day (courtesy of a blackout) he slipped right into a panic attack and screamed so loud he woke up the entire mansion. It took three hours to convince him he wasn't stuck in his box, and another 2 for him to calm down completely. Since that incident, several of his friends have taken to keeping flashlights and such in LJ's room to act as a source of light just in case of another blackout.
