Abhyudaya and Gautami, both sat in silence as they saw all their friends get separated. Gautami got alone as all her friends were seated far away. Thankfully, for Abhyudaya, his friends were seated close. He thanked god in silence.
As he took out his books for the next period, his hand touched Gautami and he turned back to find Gautami giving him looks.
"What?"- he asked
"Your hand touched mine!"
"That was a mistake! I am not a creep!"- and Gautami wondered how he knew her thoughts. But she just hmmed and continued doing her work.
It was the maths class and apparently, the class teacher was their Maths teacher as well. Abhyudaya saw how Gautami could ask every minor inconvenience she had in the question to the teacher while he sat back in silence. Gautami could sense that he wanted to ask something but pretended to not care. The class was about to get over.
"Hey!"- whispered Gautami and signaled him to bend down. Abhi leaned in, his ears close to Gautami's mouth.
"Listen, after this class gets over I am going to sit with Pari, my best friend. You also sit with Agrim then?"
"Are you... I mean the teacher?"
"Such a fattu you are! You are in tenth Abhi! Grow Up! Who follows such a stupid seating plan?"
"Wait! What did you say?"
"Fattu?"
"No after that..."
"Oh That! It's just cuz you have such a long name, I just shortened it!"
"And who gave you the right to do so?"
"Ugh! What? Listen I do not have enough time to argue with you. Ok? It just benefits you and me both. Are you Up for it?"
"Fine! I'm down!"
"Good for you!"
"Wha-"
"Gautami come here!"- said the teacher. She went outside the classroom and returned gloomily mumbling something. Just then, the period was over.
"Go now!"- said Abhyudaya
"Umm Yeah I-"
"What now?"
"Mam made me in charge of the seating plan. She told me to inform her if anyone disobeys the seating plan..."
Abhyudaya could not control her laughter and burst out laughing. How cute she looked while saying that!
"How mean!"- she said.
"So..."- he said controlling his laugh
"So you won't go?"
