It's true,
Opposites attract.
Light blue skies,
The clouds looming over,
The phoenix's rise above,
How to plan its demise?
It's true,
Opposites attract.
Walking down the path,
The shadows overtaking,
The wind billowing serenely,
How to wreak a disastrous wrath?
It's true,
Opposites attract.
We can smile and laugh with no feign,
Never once measuring our happiness.
But it can all go down the drain,
Once they bring in their scales and guns.
