The girls and I swam through the water together, racing each other to see who could outswim the other. I broke off, swam towards one of the rivers, and found the dugong family grazing on seagrass. The calf swam over and hugged me as if it were happy to see me again. Its mother came over and playfully bopped me with her flipper. It had been a while since I last saw them. Plus, it was a huge relief that the plan to develop Mako Island was called off, otherwise, the dugongs' habitat would've been threatened.

After the calf released me from its embrace, I headed for the moon pool and saw that the girls had already arrived there.

"Where were you, Zo?" Rikki wondered after I surfaced next to Cleo.

"Went to check on the dugongs," I shrugged.

"Aww, we could've gone with you," Cleo sighed knowing how adorable they were, "How's the calf?"

"Still giving out hugs."

"When it gets big, I bet it will give out giant hugs," Emma grinned.

"You could've won the race if you hadn't broken off from us," Rikki remarked to me.

"Winning isn't everything, you know," I shook my head.

"And that's why you're fourth." Rikki turned to Emma set to challenge her, "I'll beat you on the way back.

"You'll try?" Emma grinned.

"We'll see soon enough," I smiled and submerged back underwater.

🌊

"I'm just faster than you," Emma told Rikki as we got our drinks, "How many more times do I have to beat you to prove that?"

"This isn't hot chocolate," Cleo grumbled at her mug as we went over to over of the booths, "This is lukewarm chocolate. They should say "lukewarm chocolate" on the menu if that's what they're going to serve."

"Sometimes, lukewarm isn't too bad," I pointed out as I sipped my pineapple juice, "It's better than getting your tongue burned by boiling hot liquid. Believe me."

Rikki held a hand out a bit and Cleo's drink steamed and boiled.

"Thanks, Rikki," Cleo smiled and sipped her hot cocoa, "Uh, ow! Whoa, Rikki, too hot!" She burned her lips and tongue.

"Told ya," I shrugged as Emma held her hand out and cooled off the drink.

"Try that," she told her.

Cleo took another sip, "Perfect."

"I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that," Lewis stated as he joined us and kissed Cleo's forehead.

"Excellent, I'll pretend you're interesting," Rikki sassed.

"So you mean you're not interested in how I'm going to save you from the full moon time."

"You can do that?" Cleo wondered.

"Maybe," he answered as they held each other's hand.

"Give it a rest, you two," Rikki sighed at them, "Every month, the full moon hits one of us."

"And every month, crazy stuff happens," Emma jumped in.

"Yes, but preparation is 9/10ths of the battle," Lewis nodded.

"No offense Lewis. But we've already prepared."

"Yep, I've taped up all the curtains in my room, no light can get in," Rikki explained.
