Dagur was cold when he started to come around, the chill of the room trying to pull him back under. He forced his eyes open just a bit as he was met with a white world. Did he die? A quick flex of his hands and he was told his answer as pain shot through his right arm. A soft sound came from his left, getting his attention as he looked over at what was making the noise. Heather was leaning on the bed, her arms were crossed over the mattress and head rested on her arms. She was snoring softly, and Dagur couldn't help but smile. So he wasn't dead, then where the hell was he?

Beeping was the next thing he recognized and panic wrapped through him as the beeping increased. The sudden increase of the noise seemed to stir his sister as she grumbled and woke up. Upon seeing her brother's eyes open she almost burst into tears before practically jumping onto him.

"You're okay, you're okay." Heather whispered over and over again as she hugged her big brother.

"What... where am I?" Dagur asked.

"You're at Hiccup's house." Heather informed. Hiccup's, but it looked like a hospital, gods sakes he could even feel where the IV was in his arm. "It's okay, you were only out for yesterday evening and last night." Heather whispered as she placed a kiss on his temple. "Don't ever scare me like that, again."

"How'd we get here?"

"Hiccup brought you to the apartment instead of the hospital, like you asked." Hiccup listened to him, even when he was so out of it.

"Why?"

"I... I sort of told him..." Heather mumbled as Dagur pushed himself to sit up, his arms roared in pain but he ignored it. Heather told him that she wasn't legal, Dagur grumbled at the thought. The chaos that could be caused with that little exposure.

"All of it?" Dagur asked.

"No, I said when you were 18 you took me with you." Heather admitted as she helped settle him into a sitting position. "Your arms are pretty bad, but the doctor said you'll just get some nasty scars from it. She was able to get your heartbeat regulated and Hiccup was able to get oxygen into your blood. After a while you were doing well, but the doctor wasn't certain how long you'll need bed rest." Heather informed as Dagur looked at his sister. He wiggled his toes at least he still had feeling in all of his appendages.

"Does that mean I can't walk?" Dagur asked.

"I don't know, she went to run some errands with Hiccup and they'll be back soon. Stoick also wanted to talk to you later." Heather added as Dagur froze. His target wanted to talk to him, what were the gods thinking. What was he supposed to do now, he didn't even know if he could walk let alone get into a fight and kill. When was his deadline? Three or four days away, he needed to get it done as soon as possible or who knows what would happen. He has never failed at an offer before but he's heard the rumors, found dead ripped to shreds by dragons.

Swinging his legs off the edge of the bed, he heard Heather rush around to his side. She hesitated before offering her hands and slowly helping him to his feet. He wasn't even wearing the same clothes he left in. He was practically stripped down to a pair of boxers, at least he still had his underwear on.

"Where are my clothes?" Dagur asked.

"They were destroyed, covered in blood and burn marks. You're lucky your back wasn't too bad, only minor burns in comparison to your arms." Heather said as Dagur got his feet on the carpeted floor. Heather held him by the bicep her other arm was gripping his shoulder, helping him remain steady on his feet.

"You know we could have waited until Hiccup got back." Heather mumbled.

"I'm okay." Dagur responded. "We should leave." Dagur stated as he finally found his balance.

"Dagur you are in no condition. I also don't think it's safe right now to leave, Hiccup showed the police what happened." Heather admitted as Dagur screwed his eyes shut. How was he not in jail right now?

"And I haven't been thrown in prison yet?"

"You protected yourself and Hiccup. Sure you killed some people but they had escaped from prison, they were going back for the death sentence anyways." Heather said but Dagur didn't feel much better.

"What did the mayor say?"

"He didn't say much, but he just wanted to talk to you when you were feeling up to it." Heather smiled as Dagur took a step forward, he still had his balance.

"I think I got it." Dagur whispered as Heather released him but her hands were still hovering. "Did they see my mark?" Dagur asked.

"I don't think they could tell if it was a mark or an old scar. You're lucky yours doesn't look like a normal mark." Heather pointed out as Dagur nodded, taking another step. He could feel his sister at his side, still there if he needed her.

"Sleuther?"

"I don't know, he hasn't responded to me or Windshear and they still don't know we are riders." Heather whispered the last part as Dagur took a deep breath, at least that was okay.

"I'm starving." Dagur stated as Heather chuckled before moving around her brother to where two black duffle bags laid, digging out a pair of shorts and a simple black shirt. "What about?" Dagur started as he looked at the IV hanging from the back of left wrist.

"We should probably wait, or I can try to get it out. I saw her replace the needle." Heather informed.

"At least give me the shorts." Dagur stated as his sister tossed the shorts to him which he quickly pulled on.

"How's your head? Hiccup was scared you got a concussion when you guys crashed." Heather said as Dagur shrugged. His head hurt but it wasn't so bad, he could feel where the butterfly bandage was.

"A little pain but not bad enough to cause concern. Didn't you have class today?" Dagur asked as Heather's shoulders dropped.

"Oh, like my brother wasn't tortured with electricity. Like I would just leave him in my friend's care, while I went to class and hope to the gods he doesn't succumb to his injuries while I was gone." Heather snapped as she crossed her arms.

"I'm sorry, I just thought..." Dagur stopped himself as Heather wrapped her arms around him again.

"You are more important than my education." Heather whispered into his ear. Dagur could feel his stomach churn at the statement, what would happen when... he needed to tell her what the deal was.

"Heather, I-"

It was the soft sound of footsteps that broke the siblings from their hug, as Hiccup pushed open the door. Dagur couldn't help but chuckle at the look of shock on the younger man's face. Dropping the bag of items on the floor, Hiccup rushed into Dagur's arms, getting the older to step back to keep from falling over with the sudden force. The hug was expected, the kiss that followed it however was not. Dagur had no idea what to do as Hiccup pulled away and looked at the surprise on the older man's face.

"Sorry." Hiccup whispered as he was pushed away by an older woman with dirty blonde hair. The woman looked him over before giving Dagur a small push so he was sitting back on the bed.

"Are you the doctor?" The woman nodded before turning her attention to Hiccup as she quickly signed something.

"Gothi is surprised you are up and walking." Hiccup stated.

"Oh... yeah that would probably be because I don't like to sit around a lot." Dagur informed. "Can I get the IV out?" Dagur asked as the woman tutted her finger at him. She gestured to Hiccup again as the young man went to fetch the items he had dropped. Pulling out a small pill bottle he handed it to Dagur along with an ointment tube.

"You should take the pills in the morning for pain for ten days, as for the ointment you are to put on everytime you change the dressings on your burns. The dressing needs to be changed every few hours for the first week, then I will take another look at it." Hiccup translated as Dagur nodded. "I would also like you to spend the next few days under Hiccup's supervision, he knows my number because it appears you don't have a way to contact me if something goes wrong." Hiccup said as Dagur watched the woman's hands for a few moments letting that sink in. Well that solved one problem but added a few more.
