I don't update this very often And i don't always see all of your comments since I get a lot from this book. (Shit really went from 0 to 10000). But I do my best.

LGBT is a shortened version of the full acronym LGBTTQQIAAP (there might even be more but I don't know)

The umbrella flag, meaning representation of the community as a whole, is this one, which includes trans people, intersex people and people of colour:

The first four letters are the most recognized, but of course all of them are valid.

So first off the L stands for Lesbian. This is when a girl is sexually (or romantically) attracted to another girl.

The G stands for gay. A gay person is a man who is sexually (or romantically) attracted to other men, although some lesbians prefer to identify as gay women. The flag has been changed from this:

Next is B for Bisexuality. Anyone can be bisexual, this just means you are attracted to two or more genders. However this doesn't mean the attraction is always split 50/50.

And the T is for transgender

And the T is for transgender. If someone is transgender or trans, this basically means that the gender they were born as does not match up to who they truly are, and they may have a surgery to reassign themselves to their true gender.

There are also a lot more genders which I will go over in a few chapters throughout the book. So if you are having a gender crisis like I was, fear not. I gotchu

I hope I put this in a way as not to offend anyone! That most certainly isn't my intention

I hope I put this in a way as not to offend anyone! That most certainly isn't my intention. I will support you no matter what (as long as you're a nice person).

Note/Edit:
A lot of people are yelling at me in the comments about how the pink lesbian flag is wrong. So, I need to clarify why I included this flag:

The history and reputation of this one is a little rocky

The history and reputation of this one is a little rocky. The lipstick lesbian flag was created by a racist, homophobic, transphobic sob, used to fetishize lesbians. It looks the same as the one above but has a big lipstick mark in the corner. The flag above can be a touchy subject since it is technically a different flag than the lipstick lesbian one. However it still reminds people of the lipstick lesbian one and so they tend not to use it. Instead they use the orange flag which is far more inclusive. I have switched the flag at the top of the page to this one:

I also wanted to touch base about there being a wrong flag. Technically which ever flag you choose to identify with isn't wrong. In my opinion and experience when I first came out I had no idea of the background of flags. I just searched up lesbian flag and saw the pink one. I thought it looked nice and I liked how the colours went together, so I used that one.

I think I say something about this farther in the book, and possibly even give more details at some point, but I needed to address it here too.

I apologise if I made anyone uncomfortable by using the pink flag, and it is my personal belief that which ever flag you identify with isn't wrong. Just make sure you know the history of it first! I'd love to get your thoughts on this. I'm sorry again and thank you for hearing me out
