I would firstly like to devote this novel to the children who didn't get a childhood---I am here, I can see you, and you are heard. I hope you find solace in this story as well as the characters.
It is important to note that this novel, the world it is taking place in, as well as the characters all belong to me and me alone. It is unfortunate that I have to say so, but please do not plagiarize my work. The amount of time and dedication that went into this project is other-worldly and it would break my heart if someone were to steal my ideas. Please do keep in mind, however, that I do not want to discourage anyone writing fanfictions, (just so long as I am cited.)
With that being said, I would like to warn everyone that this book series covers many dark topics that could potentially be triggering to some of you. I want everyone to put their mental-health first. As you saw in the prologue, there is character death and mentions of torture. However, that isn't where the sensitive topics end. There is indications/alluded sexual violence in this novel, descriptions of abuse, a depiction of self-harm, mentions of addiction, as well as mental health conditions portrayed such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and panic disorder. Before particularly dark and/or graphic chapters, I will warn the readers that it gets dark beforehand, but I will not be explicitly telling you what happens in order to avoid spoilers.
