CHAPTER 5 OUT SUNDAY!!! Serena Hansen is a very nonchalant girl, she's quick with insults, uncaring about everything except for her loved ones and golf, and she has a serious disdain for her classmate Chase Watson. It's nothing personal, but a girl can only hear so much about someone before it becomes unbearable. On the first day of junior year, Serena is sat directly next to Chase, and she assumes she's in for a long year. As time goes on, Serena realizes that Chase isn't as annoying as she thought he'd be. But as Chase continues to inadvertently prove Serena's assumptions wrong, she begins to grow dangerously attached. Chase Watson is a normal sixteen year old guy, loves basketball, has a popular girlfriend Megan, and he knows how to party. So many of his peers wish they lived Chase's life, but it's not as glamorous as he makes it out to be. "If you can't be perfect, you can pretend." Chase's girlfriend Megan was the light of his life, but popularity has corrupted her into a mean and controlling person. Chase is desperately trying to save his relationship but his efforts come crashing down when he walks in on Megan and one of basketball teammates Ashton together. Chase is hungry for revenge and he's not concerned about consequences. The next Monday, he and Serena are talking like normal, when out of the corner of his eye he spots Megan looking oddly... jealous? Wait, she's jealous! This is perfect. An ( assumed ) full proof plan forms in Chase's head, and he knows exactly how to make Megan taste her own medicine. Chase convinces Serena to fake date, and everything seems to he going perfectly. They go out where they know Megan will be, he does things Megan wanted him to do, but along the way, it stops being about Megan. What'll happen when the person you're using turns into the person you want to spend all your time with?
