Asra Montilyet, age 25, the very distant cousin of the famous Antivan ambassador, Josephine Montilyet. While he doesn't know her well, he has heard of the incredible things she and the Inquisition has done for Thedas and supports its cause. Asra himself is a Count, who rules over a city-state in Orlais named Brise. While he enjoys ruling the city and caring for his people, life is sometimes too smothering for Asra, and there are two big reasons amongst the many reasons... Asra is a Mage, and he is gay. With the sharp blade of the Grand Game always at his door from other Nobles, and with the constant piling of expectations, Asra finally decides to step away for a while. Putting his city in the hands of his Consul, Asra left Brise, and Orlais entirely, for a long trip. He goes to Ferelden... and it is there, where he will meet his special someone.
Sage Tanner, age 28, a traveling Ferelden mercenary who does the jobs no Noble would send soldiers for. His life is all about finding where the coin and beer flows. Laid back, and easy going, he enjoys life to fullest, especially in the tavern. Despite his strong, muscular frame that towers over most, Sage is a gentle giant to those he loves and cares for... which is nobody. Despite his outgoing and charismatic persona, deep down, Sage has his own demons and secrets. He soon comes across a man named Asra whom he meets at Redcliffe Farms. Sage finds himself enticed with the younger male, and soon a friendship between the two sparks... but will it become more?
This book and storyline are of my creation, including the main characters, Asra and Sage, and the name Brise. The world, lore, settings, and lesser characters, like Josephine Montilyet, are the works of the gaming company, Bioware, so credit to them for inspiring this story. All Rights Reserved
